Yangarra Estate is based in Blewitt Springs, in the cooler, elevated north-east of McLaren Vale, where its single estate is farmed organically and biodynamically. The 2024 Circle Shiraz is a fresh, medium-bodied take on the variety, combining boysenberry, dark cherry and blueberry with floral lift and warm spice, all carried by fine, understated tannins.
The estate-grown fruit was destemmed and wild-fermented in open stainless-steel fermenters, gently macerated for 15 days, then matured on lees for 11 months in older French oak puncheons and foudre. Marcus Ellis awarded it 93 points in the Halliday Wine Companion, describing it as “effortless and serene” and “lovely and ready to go.”
