Provenance Golden Plains Pinot Noir 2024

An incredibly aromatic grip coupled with balanced acidity and persistent length makes this multi-regional blend a piece of mastery, combining the best of a part of Victoria often overlooked in favour of the usual reigning wine regions.

More Information

A bright ruby red in the glass, with complex aromas of fragrant herbs, fresh red cherry, wild strawberry, and subtle spice tones. Elegant, fine, and medium-bodied, the palate is classic cool-climate Pinot Noir. Red cherry and plum sweetness are matched with delicate winemaking elements and a savoury mineral note. The tannin and fresh natural acidity provide line and contrast to counter the natural fruit ripeness on the long finish. - Sam Vogel, Winemaker

"Fruit is 60/30/10% Geelong/Henty/Ballarat. A medium, bright crimson red. Brightly fruited with its aromas of red and black fruits, some whole-bunch-derived green peppercorn notes and a little dried rose. Medium bodied, and like the other '24 Provenance pinots, this will need six months or so for the tannins to soften. A well-priced pinot to drink now and over the next three to four years." Philip Rich
