Curly Flat is one of the Macedon Ranges’ benchmark cool-climate producers, and Williams Crossing offers a more immediately accessible take on the estate’s Pinot Noir. The 2025 is fresh and lively but with plenty of savoury character, combining black cherry and forest berries with earthy notes, sweet spice and a touch of cedar. Fine, firm tannins give it structure without weighing the wine down.
Campbell Mattinson rated the 2025 92 points, noting that “both the flavour and the feel of this wine are spot on.” He particularly praised its cool-but-ripe character, freshness and impressive finish, making this an excellent introduction to Curly Flat Pinot Noir at a much more approachable price.
