Owner / winemaker Remi Guise explains it best.......
"I started tripe.Iscariot for two reasons: the first is a fairly typical lifelong dream for a winemaker, to own and drive my own wine label, thus being able to make whatever creative or philosophical decisions I want in order to make wines that mean something to me. The second was, as a wine buyer, an almost all-encompassing boredom with the limited and homogeneous rang e of wines and styles in more affordable price ranges in the modern market."
"As of '17, Marrow's fruit is sourced from a different vineyard in Wallcliffe and, for the first time, is 100% syrah, with none of the malbec used to bolster previous renditions. What a fabulous wine. Heady aromas of warm earth and gravel, red fruits, florals and woodsy spices. It's medium-bodied, complex yet appearing effortless; succulent and savoury with superfine tannins." 95pts - Jane Faulkner - Wine Companion
"It’s very purple, and also, one of those wines that just feels really good, if you know what I mean. Boysenberry, fresh picked blackberry, a dusting of spice, and quite roast meaty in a good way. But it’s the texture of tightly knit gravelly tannin and pure acidity that really sets it apart. It’s long too. It’s really good." 94pts - Gary Walsh - WineFront
