Tim Adams Cabernet Malbec 2014

"A very well-made wine"  James Halliday

"If you’ve liked any of his reds in the past, you will enjoy this release plenty."  Campbell Mattinson

"95 Points. A 70/30% blend from four vineyards, fermented separately, matured in new and used French oak for 24 months. A very well-made wine based on a Clare Valley special blend with a long lineage, this wine absolutely in the centre of that line. Cabernet provides the structure, malbec the fruit to fill the spaces. Retasting underlines the balance of a wine destined for a long future. 14.5% alc. To 2024"  James Halliday, Halliday Wine Magazine.

"70/30 blend of Clare Valley Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec. All into French oak. Most of us would be familiar with the red wines of Tim Adams. If you’ve liked any of his reds in the past, you will enjoy this release plenty. It’s absolutely typical, in a good way. Plenty of dark berried fruit, not too complicated, not simple either. Supple but a firm frame. Feels like cabernet, complete with herbal edges, but feels ripe and generous too. Minty. Floral. Clean. In a very good place. Rated: 93 Points. Alcohol: 14.5% Price: $25 Closure: Screwcap Drink: 2018 - 2028+"  Campbell Mattinson, The Wine Front.
