More Information

Chablis provides a great counterpoint to most Australian Chardonnays with its minerality, freshness and less prominent oak. This is an archetypally refreshing, long-lived style of white wine that very few wine regions, possibly none other than Chablis, can produce.

We believe this is one of our most balanced and nuanced Chablis 6-Pack.  Buy this 6-pack and you'll receive one bottle each of the following:

La Chablisienne Chablis La Pierrelée 2020
Domaine Camille et Laurent Schaller Chablis 2022
Louis Moreau Chablis 2023
Domaine Gautheron Chablis 2022
Domaine Laroche ‘Les Chanonines Chablis 2023
Domaine Lavantureux Chablis 2021

Each wine is described in more detail below.

La Chablisienne Chablis La Pierrelée 2020
This Chablis cooperative dates back to 1923 and has to be considered one of the greatest cooperatives in France.

Chablis La Pierrelée (“The Stones”) references the soils of the Burgundy region and the mineral edge of the classic Chablis style. The wine is fine and expressive – full of fruit when young and developing complex flavours with age. This Chablis is released later and with more bottle age than many other wineries do.

"Nutty mineral nose with ripe apple and a hint of honey. Tense backbone of acidity. Stony style with lovely length." 93 points Decanter

Louis Moreau Chablis 2023
This vintage is very classic for Chablis with citrus notes driven by a dense minerality on the the nose together with notes of white fruits (apple, pear) typical of Chablis terroir. The palate develops full fruitiness and structured body but yet a hint of salinity that keeps this wine lean and persistent.

Domaine Camille et Laurent Schaller Chablis 2022
Camille Schaller is a young winemaker joining the new wave of producers making exceptional quality Chablis from their family vineyards. His Chablis comes from 30 year old Chardonnay vineyards, all sustainable, planted on the best Clay and Limestone soils around the village of Préhy and Chablis. The soil brings exceptional finesse, minerality and purity to the wines.

Domaine Gautheron Chablis 2022
Domaine Gautheron is located in Fleys, a village of 150 inhabitants surrounded by Chablis eastern hills.  This estate is a family owned and operated business for more than seven generations.

This Chablis is produced by blending more than 20 different parcels that are spread throughout the south-eastern quadrant of Chablis.  For the most part, parcels are kept separate in the winery until the blending in the spring.  While the winemaking choices produce a very focused wine, the diversity of terroirs brings a charming complexity.

Floral notes, stone-fruit and fresh butter.  A balance of liveliness, maturity, mellowness, elegance and fresh richness.

Domaine Laroche ‘Les Chanoines’ Chablis 2023
The name Domaine Laroche is virtually synonymous with Chablis. Over centuries, the Laroche family has built a strong reputation for these wines thanks to their exceptional vineyards and also their sense of quality. This has the intense freshness typical of the terroir in combination with ripe white fruit and white blossom aromas. The minerality gives a lingering finish and a distinct character. A nice complexity emerges from this vintage, while keeping a lot of purity.

Domaine Lavantureux Chablis 2021
“All the domaine’s wines are vinified parcel by parcel – this comes from a single parcel in Lignorelles but a big parcel of 5ha and it’s the biggest cuvée of the domaine. Here starting to see a proportion of older barrels for elevage. A similar roundness and sweet invitation to drink. Mouthfilling, silky – here is a super wine for drinking today! The finish is pure and full of energy – again with lovely citrus-skin complexity. That’s really excellent.” Burgundy Report
