Teusner Joshua GSM 2024

Our very first wine, and like Mick’s first son, we called Joshua. Typically a blend of about 2/3rds old vine Grenache, a chunk of Mataro and a splash of Shiraz, we keep our Josh’ away from oak and release it young to showcase the kind of juicy, spicy, flavoursome wines you can do so well in the Barossa by blending heritage varieties from old vines.

"The much-loved and freakishly consistent Joshua – a grenache, shiraz and mataro blend – is again on form in the excellent '24 vintage. Juicy with plum, cranberry and raspberry fruits and layered with exotic spice and hints of dried citrus rind, blossom, dried meats and earth. "Famed GMS blend from the Barossa Valley. The pitch couldn’t be more perfect. This is spicy, red fruited, light on its and satisfying at the same time. It’s fresh, rusty, mineral-strewn, generous and more-ish, but there’s fine, finessed tannin in play too, and the acid line to go with it. One sip, yes please, right choice, leave the bottle with me.
