Dan Standish, a sixth-generation Barossan, has built The Standish Wine Company into one of Australia’s benchmark producers of single-vineyard Shiraz. The Schubert Theorem comes from Roennfeldt Road in Marananga, producing a wonderfully concentrated yet controlled style of Barossa Shiraz. The 2024 is packed with blue and dark fruits, liquorice, florals and spice, with beautifully integrated tannins and remarkable freshness beneath its richness. A portion is raised in concrete egg, helping preserve the wine’s purity and energy.
The 2024 has received 100 points from Erin Larkin, Robert Parker Wine Advocate, who called it “fresh, complex and powerful” and praised its seamless flow and interwoven tannins.
