Ros Ritchie established her eponymous label in Mansfield in 2008 after more than two decades making wine in Victoria’s High Country. Her Gewürztraminer is grown at the Dead Man’s Hill Vineyard near Mansfield, a site dedicated entirely to the variety, with the 2024 fruit hand-picked from selected rows of the vineyard.
A dry, intensely aromatic expression of Gewürztraminer, the 2024 shows classic tea rose and lychee alongside ginger spice, quince and orange zest. There’s generous texture through the palate, balanced by fresh acidity and a long, perfumed finish. Ros Ritchie describes the wine as having “gentle acidity, great length and texture.”
