I'm happy to go on record saying this is a wine that every cabernet drinker should enjoy. It has that rich flavour profile you'd expect of a Margaret River Cabernet, but at the same time it has a fresh feel, making it super easy to drink. Robert Oatley Vineyards are in the form of their life.
“No mistaking that this is from Margaret River. Those blackcurrant, bay leaf and black olive notes are a dead giveaway. It’s firm and structured but wrapped with generous full-flavoured ripe fruit.” 94 Points & Top 100 Reds of 2022 Ray Jordan
"Vivid regional and varietal characters of cherry, blackberry, seaweed, beet, eucalyptus and black olive brine open the nose of this savory Cabernet. The palate is powerful while still being linear, focused and fresh. Savory tannins frame juicy, brambly red fruit and spice, and a gently charred oak note can be felt, too. Drinking well now, especially at slightly below room temperature, but also could cellar until around 2030, at least. (CP) " 91 points Wine Enthusiast
"Distinctive leafy freshness with bell pepper, coriander, raspberry and blackberry aromas. Sleek and fresh with a medium body and fine tannins. " 90 points James Suckling
I agree completely with everything Cloudwine and the reviewers have said about this wine. It's distinctively Margaret River, it's fresh, fruity and smooth, and very easy to drink, but has enough character to be interesting. It also seems like it's very versatile for pairing with food.
