Rob Hall Yarra Valley Cabernets 2023

Made by Rob Hall, who worked at Mount Mary for a decade.  You can be certain that some of that Mount Mary magic has rubbed off on Rob while making this wine.

This is special.  First let's start with the winemaker - Rob Hall - while this may be a new name for you, Rob is certainly no strange in the wine world.  Rob cut his teeth at Mount Mary, perhaps the most famous Yarra Valley producer and he worked there for 10 years as assistant winemaker.

"96 Points. A blend of 62/32/6% cabernet sauvignon/merlot/malbec. Rob knows a thing or two about cabernet, most likely, I'm guessing, from his days at Mount Mary. A brilliant, crimson purple, this fragrant wine leaps out of the glass with its bouquet of cassis, liqueur cherries, cedar, violets and just a soupçon of fresh tomato leaf. Medium bodied, this juicy-fruited wine is impeccably balanced with silky, persistent tannins that resonate throughout.
