Medhurst was established by Ross and Robyn Wilson on a north-facing Yarra Valley site overlooking the Warramate Ranges. Their 2024 Estate Chardonnay was handpicked, cold-pressed and fermented with full solids before partial malolactic fermentation and ten months in French oak, 25% new.
Quince blossom, lemon balm and white florals lead into yellow grapefruit, lemon zest and crunchy white peach, with chalky acidity, delicate oak spice and a concentrated, long finish. Awarded 96 points by Philip Rich for Halliday Wine Companion, who described it as “finely tuned and restrained” and “very well balanced.”
