More Information

It's aged 40 years and drinks as young as any white wine anywhere in the world can with this age.

Chenin Blanc from Marc Bredif remains a benchmark for the region; delicious, nervy and vividly sketched when young it morphs into an infinitely complex wine with age taking on characters of dried honey and baked apple pie. So what’s it like? Well first we’ll say the variety is chenin blanc, but it’s not like any Australian Chenin.

It’s rich and luscious with a palate of honeysuckle and fig. But what sets it apart is the balance of minerality and sweetness. It also has excellent acidity to ensure it will have an extended life but a touch of residual adds to the interest factor. I read somewhere the taste is similar to a baked apple pie and you know what, that is spot on.
