Although Rhône is most famous for it's reds, Côtes-du-Rhône Blanc, made from Grenache Blanc (White Grenache) has long graced the lunch and dinner tables of French families. Yes, it's the type of wine the French drink. White Grenache, has refreshing flavors of floral, citrus, herb and anise. It reminds me of a well rounded and very creamy Chardonnay.

AustraliaI bought the Belleruche white on Chris' recommendation and have very much enjoyed both the bottles we have consumed so far. The label doesn't tell me the grape varieties but I'm guessing there is Marsanne and Roussanne in there. There is an Australian wine, which I'm pretty sure I also bought from Chris, Rutherglen Estates, Shelley's Block, Marsanne, Viognier, Roussanne which I enjoy more. Would I buy the Belleruche again? Of course.
AustraliaWith shiraz, grenache and blends of the two being amongst my favourite red wines, I thought I should try a white Cote Du Rhone for a change. It was certainly interesting and tasty, but didn't really grab me, and with a new pinot gris fan in the house I might look at the Alsace rather than Rhone region for a while.
