Saget La Perrière is a family-owned Loire producer whose winemaking history dates back to 1790. La Petite Perrière was created as an accessible yet serious expression of Pinot Noir, blending fruit largely sourced from the family’s Touraine vineyards with parcels from long-term growers in southern France.
The 2024 is light, fresh and supple, with vibrant red and black fruit, blackberry notes and silky tannins. After three weeks in vat, it was matured in stainless steel for six months to preserve its bright fruit and freshness. Awarded 90 points by Decanter, which praised its “sappy and fresh” finish and fine-grained tannins.
