Founded by Jeffrey Grosset in the early 1980s, Grosset Wines has built its reputation on precise, site-driven Clare Valley wines. The 2026 Springvale Riesling comes from the estate’s 25-year-old, biodynamically farmed vineyard in Watervale, where thin red loam over limestone gives way to ancient slate. The fruit was hand harvested, made using free-run juice and bottled unfined.
Lifted and elegant, it shows lime blossom, lemon and lime citrus, balanced lime-pith texture and a mineral line that carries through the persistent finish. Mike Bennie awarded it 96+ points in the Halliday Wine Companion, calling it “peak and pitch-perfect Grosset Springvale” and praising its tension, approachability and exceptional length.
