Frankland Estate is one of the benchmark producers of Frankland River, established by Barrie Smith and Judi Cullam in 1988 and now run by the next generation of the family. Isolation Ridge is their flagship dry Riesling, grown on the organically farmed vineyard surrounding the winery. The 2025 is wonderfully intense and precise, with lime, citrus blossom and green apple alongside subtle herbal, floral and stony notes, finishing long with fine chalky texture and mouth-watering acidity.
It has also emerged as one of the standout Rieslings of the 2027 Halliday Wine Companion, making the final group for Riesling of the Year. Jeni Port awarded the wine 96 points, praising its concentration, citrus-driven character and vibrant acidity, while Gary Walsh also rated it 95 points.
