Elanto Vineyard is an ambitious high-density vineyard at Balnarring on the Mornington Peninsula, established by celebrated winemaker Sandro Mosele and his team. Ironstone is a small parcel near the centre of the property, where shallow, dark-red soils and naturally low yields produce one of Elanto’s most concentrated and structured expressions of Pinot Noir.
The 2024 is powerful yet beautifully composed, combining deep dark fruit with pomegranate, ferrous earthiness and subtle herbal complexity. Supple tannins and bright acidity give the palate impressive shape and energy, with the structure to develop beautifully in bottle. Jane Faulkner awarded it 97 points, praising its “beautiful aromatics” and intense flavour.
