Whatever way I look at it, I just can't get past the value on offer. Finding any $20odd Adelaide Hill Chardonnay's is not any easy process. It's a premium region and demand is high. This Bleasdale Chardonnay is a real find - it's from Halliday's Winery of the Year, it's got the big 96 point rating, it's from Adelaide Hills and it's only $22.99. Here is Halliday's review from the Companion:
"Whole-bunch pressed direct to French oak puncheons (25% new) for fermentation on full solids including wild mlf; 9 months' maturation. Brilliant quartz-green. All the inputs have been precisely managed, notably the mlf. The bouquet and palate move hand in hand, white peach/nectarine and citrusy acidity running throughout, oak a mere servant."
