Stefano Lubiana Sparkling Blanc de Blancs 2016

The 2016 Blanc de Blanc, like all Stefano Lubiana sparkling wines, is crafted using the méthode traditionnelle, just like Champagne.  This process involves an impressive 7 years of aging on lees, followed by over 12 months under cork before release. This approach has worked wonders with this Blanc de Blanc, with the extended maturation period enhancing the wine’s complexity, allowing it to develop a rich array of flavors and aromas.

The wine features enticing notes of lemon, honeysuckle, and custard apple, complemented by an underlying toasty element reminiscent of butter pastries—think freshly baked croissant, almond Danish, and caramelized apple galette. The extensive time on lees has cultivated a toasty and mature palate, offering delicious flavors of crème caramel and apple tarte.  The finish is long, rich, and delectably smooth, with a supple mousse that enhances the overall experience.
