If you've enjoyed our past offerings of richer-style complex Italian Reds such as Amaranta and Masso Antico then you really need to look at this. We've recently acquired a small allocation of the 2020 Cielo e Terra 3 Passo Vino Rosso . This Venetian Blend is predominantly Negroamaro with Sangiovese and it has rocked the socks off Italy's most well-known wine writer Luca Maroni:
''Here we are at the absolute top of value, in particular as regards to concentration. A block, a sea of extractive substances that determine its exceptional sensory performance from a quantitative point of view. Then the quality of the sensations, with the softness of taste’s enveloping effect of admirable palatal balance, the cleanliness, the clarity of the blackberry and the spices that increase in its spectacular scent. Among the best reds of the year, chapeau.'' 98 Points, Luca Maroni, Annual Italian Wine Guide
But I should also add this is not some kind of one-off fluke, the previous vintages of this wine has won many golds medals and wine scribes have also sung it's praises. Basically, we have been itching ourselves wanting to sell this wine to you and finally we have enough stocks of this wine to last, well maybe a day!
Cracking wine. Bought a case and might get more
This tastes like a $80 bottle of wine. Smooth from the first taste till the last. A young wine that tastes beyond its years. Extremely good value.
I love being introduced to new wines despite having many favourites over the years. This was recommended to go with our meal at The Italian Place in Canberra (a white was suggested earlier with our antipasto that was very good too). Four of us ordering different dishes makes it hard to find a wine to suit everyone. But this definitely did the trick. It was mellow and smooth and paired well with different meat and pasta dishes. The taste was intense and it sat well on the tongue (a party in the mouth) and was nicely balanced. It does not matter to me but it is an organic vegan wine. We were told to let it sit a bit in the glass and we tried a sip when it was poured and about 10 minutes later. There is quite a difference.
I normally suffer from the effects of preservatives and sulphites in wine especially red but this wine is not only delicious but I had no nasty side effects. Would highly recommend.
