Kilikanoon 'Attunga 1865' Shiraz 2018

The Kilikanoon ‘Attunga 1865’ Shiraz 2018 is a flagship Clare Valley release crafted from some of Australia’s oldest commercially producing Shiraz vines, planted in 1865 on terra rossa over limestone soils. With yields of less than one tonne per acre, this wine delivers exceptional concentration and depth. It was fermented with care and matured in a combination of new and seasoned French oak hogsheads before being bottled unfined and unfiltered to preserve purity. Deep maroon in colour, it opens with aromas of dark chocolate, cherry plum, licorice, leather, cassis, dried herbs and smoked meats. The palate is rich and layered, showing plush tannins, vibrant acidity and a long, chalky finish. Powerful yet beautifully balanced, it offers outstanding cellaring potential for decades to come.
