Ravensworth Shiraz Viognier 2021

One of the hottest wines on the market is available again.  It's Ravensworth Shiraz Viognier 2021.  But this year is different, yes, the wines are fantastic again, but stock levels are down and it will sell out very quickly!

With these limited stocks, I'm not sure I should mention Mike Bennie's fantastic review where he said "A stellar wine on a stellar run" or highlight that our price is the best in Australia?

What I am sure of, Bryan Martin has nailed this Ravensworth Shiraz Viognier.  Here's Mike Bennie's review:

From the organic farmed estate vines of the Martin family in Murrumbateman. Matured in old puncheons and foudre.  Oh, beautiful. With concentration but coolness. Like a chamomile tea-soaked flannel on the eyes after too much sun. Red fruit, ripe and rich in the mix, floral lift, meadow herbs and fennel with gentle cinnamon spice notes – wonderful characters for scents and flavours. It feels sleek and lengthy, gentle but with a building framework of fine tannin lacing it all together. Superb.  Rated : 95 Points.  Mike Bennie.  The Wine Front.

As we've previously wrote, it's no secret the Ravensworth winemaker also has a lot of winemaking duties at Clonakilla and there will always be comparisons with Clonakilla Shiraz Viognier. 

I think considering the winemaker link, the area and the Shiraz Viognier blend, comparisons are inevitable, as is the price.   Clonakilla Shiraz Viognier is priced at $110 and while Clonakilla is a world-class wine and is worth every cent, it's simply outside of most people's budget.  Ravensworth Shiraz Viognier is priced at $49.95 which is within most people's budget but it won't be long before this wine sells out.
