More Information

The Kaesler vineyards were owned and run by the Kaesler family from 1893 to 1986. In 1999, winemaker Reid Bosward seized the opportunity to become the head of the new Kaesler family when he and his partners bought Kaesler, becoming the third owners of this property. Kaesler owns just over 37 hectares (92 acres) of vineyards in the Barossa Valley, the majority of it is old vine material planted in 1893, 1899, 1930 and in the 1960’s.

100% Semillon from vines panted in 1961.

"From a patch of semillon vines, planted in 1961, on the Kaesler estate on the southern edge of Nuriootpa. A tautly stretched and precise Barossa semillon with pristine fruit characters of lemon and crunchy green apple along with hints of almond meal, lanolin, soft spice, dried herbs and white flowers. There's a dot of clotted cream on the palate which is finely formed and possesses a wonderfully pure, stony, citrus-flecked finish. Drink gleefully or cellar."
