Sons Of Eden Remus Eden Valley Old Vine Shiraz 2023

Established in 2000, Sons of Eden brings together Corey Ryan and Simon Cowham’s experience in the vineyards and wineries of the Barossa. Their 2023 Remus Shiraz draws on three old-vine Eden Valley sites in Central Eden Valley, Moculta and Flaxmans Valley, with vines aged from more than 60 to over 80 years.

Plush wild berry and blackberry flavours are lifted by sage and mocha, with velvety tannins giving the wine both generosity and refinement. Hand harvested and fermented in small open-top fermenters, with selected parcels including up to 15% whole bunches, it matured for 18 months in French oak hogsheads, 60% new. Concentrated yet elegant, this is an old-vine Shiraz with the structure for extended cellaring.
