"Excellent. A rosato packed with character and interest. Not your average rosato, that’s for sure."  Gary Walsh.  The Wine Front.

"All Sangiovese. All Dom Torzi. This bloke knows what he’s doing when he makes wine.  It’s a little wild, some cap gun smokiness, but it’s really engaging. White cherry, fennel, musk, raw almond and spice, ruby red grapefruit. It’s bright, zesty and full of energy, blood orange and spice, a fine peppery texture and flavour, cool and distinctly Italianate, with a long crisp finish. Excellent. A rosato packed with character and interest. Not your average rosato, that’s for sure."  Gary Walsh.  The Wine Front.

"Right, so here is an example of a rosé that is n ot shit to start my dive into the blush wine pile.  Dom ‘Midas’ Torzi can make magic happen with all sorts of grapes (oh, and olives), here he has spun Barossa/Eden Valley Sangiovese into a proper rosé AND with no sulphur added.  Seriously, this Torzi Matthews Francesca Grillo Rosato di Sangiovese 2022 sits upright on the generosity and freshness balance beam, with pink grapefruit, forest berries, a little leafy tang, the lot. Dry, riper, not harsh, varietal, and soft-edged. Has a whisper of fruit tingle and some leafy lift, all of which makes it more than just another pink wine– just drink it."  Andrew Graham MW.  Ozwine Review

"There’s a lot going on here as a result of some pretty serious winemaking to create what is essentially a fun drink. Handpicked sangiovese, whole bunch basket pressed to seasoned French oak before natural fermentation and six months on lees. There’s a nice mix of cherry and watermelon with a slight Turkish Delight character. Dry spicy palate lifted with a fine acidity and sprinkle of spices. Most appealing wine for warmer month drinking."  Ray Jordan.  The Western Austarlian.
