The leading White Rhone Blend to come out of the Barossa? Celebrated winemaker John Duval clearly has the knack of making some of the top handful of shiraz in the country but this textured white is also outstanding.
"Sophisticated and highly drinkable stuff" - Mike Bennie
"John Duval's Plexus, a Rhône-inspired white blend, is consistently delicious." Dave Brookes (Halliday Wine Companion)
"This is roussanne, marsanne, viognier in cahoots. Matured in French oak barrels, for your pleasure. Slippery and supple white of great interest and yet good vibrancy and freshness in tow. Scents of quince, ginger, lime pickle, sage leaf and white pepper. The palate in the lemon and ginger zone accompanied by nashi pear and something pleasing but grassy. The finish takes that glide away and corkscrews slowly into chalky-mineral chew. Sophisticated and highly drinkable stuff, and I bet it cellars very well too. Rated : 93+ Points." Mike Bennie. Lovely clean palate a great food wine, not too heavy
