Longview 'Queenie' Pinot Gris 2024

Longview is a stunning, family-owned Adelaide Hills single vineyard located just outside the historic township of Macclesfield. Set on undulating slopes reminiscent of old world estates but with a clear Australian accent, it has quickly established itself as one of the most awarded vineyards in the region since its first vintage in 2001.

The original vineyards are now 20yr+ in age although plantings of the 'alternative varieties' (Barbera, Gruner Veltliner, Pinot Grigio) are somewhat younger. Winemaking is overseen by Ben Glaetzer in close consultation with owners Peter and Mark Saturno. 

"The first job of Pinot Grigio is to be refreshing. Tick. The second is to have some texture. Tick. Here we have a bright and crunchy wine featuring green pear, a light floral character, and some almonds, with a good finish featuring a little spray of green herbs and gentle bitterness to close.
