More Information

Fruit from the Montgomery vineyard in Wilyabrup. Hand picked, on skins for 2 months, matured for 18 months in French oak (40% new). The nose here is leafy and concentrated: freshly turned earth, blackberry bramble, saltbush and licorice. In the mouth the wine is structured and savoury, yet plump – the fruit is layered with oodles of cassis, mulberry and hints of raspberry, but the main chords are tobacco leaf, licorice root and clove. This wine will really blossom in 5 years; decant it in the short term.
