Bleasdale Bremerview Shiraz 2021
Rating: 95 Points. "Frank Potts created a system of locks and weirs to provide flood irrigation from inception in 1850, and Bleasdale's Bremerview vineyard still uses that system. Destemmed, open fermented, matured for 12 months in French puncheons (10% new). The wine is ridiculously good value at this price, with the warming gentle palate of Langhorne Creek: plum, dark berry fruit and just enough soft tannin. Gold medals Melbourne Royal Wine Awards and Rutherglen Wine Show ’22. Screwcap. $22. 13.5% alc. Drink: 2023 - 2036"  James Halliday,  Halliday Wine Companion

Collector Rose Red City Sangiovese 2019
Rating: 95 Points.  "Alex McKay has an affinity with Italian reds, and boy, does it show here. At first deceptively light with sour cherry, warm earth and layers of spice. It builds, moves and entices. Complex with cherry kernels and amaro on the medium-bodied palate, Italianate tannins coat the mouth and the fresh acidity ensures the next sip is as fabulous as the previous one."  Halliday Wine Companion

TarraWarra Estate Yarra Valley Barbera 2021
Rating: 95 Points. "Made from 33yo vines. Fermented in foudre and matured in French barrels, 10% new. A deep, crimson plummy red. A convincing and appealing barbera from the start, with its aromas of dark morello cherry, fresh plum, sage and thyme. Totally delicious on the palate too. Ripe and rich, but not heavy, with fine-grained tannins rounding out a wine that can be enjoyed now and over the next 3–5 years. Would be fantastic with a bowl of pasta!"  Philip Rich.   Halliday Wine Companion

Dandelion Menagerie of the Barossa Grenache Shiraz Mataro 2021
Rating: 94 Points.  "Dandelion always seems to serve up a delicious blend. Here the breakdown is a bunchy 73/19/8% grenache/shiraz/mataro, but that's not really important. What is important, however, is the desire to pour another glass. If that is the universal measure a wine should be judged on, the Dandelion Menagerie is winning. Slurpilicious red and blue fruits, exotic spice, amaro, roasting meats, purple floral notes, gingerbread, cola and a whole lot of yum. Just deliciously fun, savoury drinking, and that is a beautiful thing." Dave Brookes.  Halliday Wine Companion

In Dreams Yarra Valley Pinot Noir 2022
Rating: 95 Points. "Mainly whole berries with around 10% whole bunches. Matured in French oak (10% new) for 10 months. A medium, bright cherry red. An immediately attractive bouquet offering an array of spices to go with the sour cherry and raspberry fruit aromas. Even better on the energetic palate, which is medium bodied, with both bright acidity and fine-grained tannins giving the wine freshness and structure. Definitely over-delivers at this modest price point for good quality Yarra pinot."  Philip Rich.  Halliday Wine Companion

Head Red Cabernet Sauvignon 2021
Rating: 95 Points. "Elegance is the feature of all the Head Red wines, balance ditto. Drilling down further, Head’s handling of tannin is masterful – as here, at 13.5 per cent alcohol! That’s meant to be impossible, but clearly it’s not. Blackcurrant/cassis floods the mouth, and other fruits (plum) join in." Top 100 Wines of 2022 James Halliday
