More Information

"this remains one of Barbaresco’s best bargains, well worth buying a case so you can revisit the wine every few months."  Wine and Spirits Magazine

"Red fruit, sugared almond, sage and mint, some spice and new leather. Mid-weight, very open for business, liquorice richness but still fresh, fine dusting of tannin, so much charm and even ripeness. Flat out delicious wine, affable and easy to latch on to. Good now and better again over the medium term. Drink 2019-2030" 94 points Gary Walsh, The Wine Front

"I tasted this wine after bottling but before its commercial release. The 2015 Barbaresco will hit the market on September 1st. It was scheduled to be released in October, but because Produttori del Barbaresco is already out of stock of the 2014 Barbaresco, they decided to move this release up and shorten waiting times. I mention that because you definitely don't want to pop the cork too early. The 2015 vintage opens to a visibly darker color and thicker concentration compared to recent past vintages. Next to the upcoming 2016 and 2017 editions, we can expect 2015 to be the most fruit-forward of the three. You get dark tones of plum and blackberry with dry tannins at the rear. Drink 2020-2038"  93 points Monica Larner, The Wine Advocate

"Produttori’s classic Barbaresco is lush and expressive in the warm 2015 vintage. Flavors of ripe cherries stay vibrant and plush, lifted by notes of orange zest and bright green herbs. The tannins are silky and ripe, drawing out the flavors into a long, balanced finish. Although the price has crept up, this remains one of Barbaresco’s best bargains, well worth buying a case so you can revisit the wine every few months." 93 points, Wine and Spirits Magazine

"Rose petal, dark spice and camphor aromas slowly take shape in the glass along with a whiff of tar. Juicy and delicious, the smooth full-bodied palate has a weightless elegance, delivering succulent Marasca cherry, ripe raspberry, licorice and tobacco while fine-grained tannins provide support. Drink 2021–2027." 93 points Kerrin O’Keefe, The Wine Enthusiast

Charming aromas of cherry, strawberry and rose are inviting in this red, with flavors to match, showing ripeness and focus. Earth and mineral elements chime in as this firms up, but the harmony is there and this should really sing in about five years. Best from 2022 through 2040. 93 points Wine Spectator

Aromas of flowers and cherries engulf the nostrils. Very feminine, almost light on its feet despite the alcohol level. On the palate, the red floral fruit gives way to a wall of soft tannins and a powdery cocoa finish. Drinking Window 2018 - 2023 (SR) 92 points Decanter

Concentrated ruby. Lots of concentrated, sweet cherry fruit and grainy tannins and plenty of acidity, too. Generous, tannic and long with youthful vigour but can be approached now. Good ageing potential. (WS) 17/20 points Jancis Robinson
