The Ragazzi Pinot Grigio is a fresh, complex, textural style of white wine with subtle aromatics, crisp acidity and wonderful minerality and mouthfeel.
Within the small Casa Freschi Adelaide Hills vineyard lies an area of Pinot Grigio that produces wine with a distinctive fragrance, energy and approachability in its youth. After wild yeast fermentation and six months maturation sur lie in seasoned French oak barriques, these parcels are carefully blended and bottled young to capture the vibrant fruit, fresh juicy flavour, and opulent texture.
The result is a wine with fresh pear, apple, passionfruit, nectarine and grapefruit with a hint of spice, yeast, nut and toast complexity in the background. The palate is fresh and lively, with concentrated ripe pear and nuts, a soft creamy texture supported by crisp, minerally acidity and finishing with excellent length of flavour.
