Dark fruit, mint and sage, dark chocolate, biscuit spices. Medium-bodied, quite the cocoa and dark mint chocolate thing here, with a menthol and peppermint character, lots of sage and dried herb, a bit of an amaro twang too, chocolate biscuit flavour, some tomato tang, and truffle and a poached strawberry finish of decent length. A bit sappy and sour, but interesting too. Tomato spiced shapes, with a biscuit edge. Savoury and interesting. BBQ shapes is kind of a theme. Snacky, but good. Gary Walsh. The Winefront.
