Heathcote producers have a reputation for their "full tote" pricing, so when we see bargains like this, we grab them. It's a generously flavoured wine with an exceptionally long finish.
We've been publishing reviews from our customers this year and note this popped up "a really good value Heathcote Shiraz that punches above its price point- worth a try" from Andrew G. It's a great summary Andrew, thank-you!
About the Winery
Stefano Stefani's first vineyard was established on the Healesville family farm in 1998 and was planted to Pinot Grigio, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The next was in Heathcote, where they acquired a property adjoining that of Mario Marson (ex Mount Mary), built a winery and established 14.4ha of Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Petit Verdot. In 2003 a second Yarra Valley property, named The View, reflecting its high altitude, was acquired and Dijon clones of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir were planted.
Very nice wine - even better given the weather is starting to cool down and nice red in the evenings!
Superb service from the Cloudwine team. This Shiraz is drinking well - can accompany many foods.
