You may have noticed that we’re been promoting a number of cool climate shiraz of late. While these shiraz are popular with many people, they’re not for everyone, especially people who enjoy a big, gutsy shiraz. That’s why we’re advertising this wine. It’s big & gutsy, but very, very smooth. It has depth, it has the power and the flavour. It’s a traditional shiraz that only Barossa can produce.
Like the Poverty Hill Cabernet we advertised last week, this is a wine that hasn’t received too many reviews from third party critics. It’s not because the wine is no good, it’s just one of those wines that slip under the radar and we’re only too keen to promote. So if you enjoy bigger wines and you’re having doubts, don’t. This is a full bodied wine loaded with tar and dark chocolate flavours over a smooth, opulent long length. It’s 15.5% alc, but you’d never know from the taste, it’s balanced and soaked up any oak that has been thrown at it. We love this wine and if you come in-store, watch out as this will be recommended.
