"Just so delicious." Campbell Mattinson
"a great example of an Australian expression of the variety"  Ray Jordan

‘Single vineyard Tempranillo matured in (old) French and American oak. Oh yes please. We have a winner here. Gorgeously fruited. Bold but soft. Choc, black cherry and cola with outlier of cloves and assorted florals. Strung with tannin but exuberant with fruit. Just so delicious.’  Drink : 2018 - 2025+ 94 points, Campbell Mattinson,

‘Messenger has been working hard on this variety. It’s made using five different clones and in the supple fruity style of the Spanish crianza. Although it’s had 12 months in oak, this is more to help knit the wine together rather than provide obvious oak influence. It works so well. Just a gorgeous current-drinking wine and a great example of an Australian expression of the variety. Best Drinking: Now to 2022.’ 93/100 Ray Jordan, Wine, The West Weekend

'Has considerable attitude, but doesn't need to use strong-arm tactics. Red, black and sour cherries form a fruit threesome, fine-grained tannins providing the path for the fruit to follow. Drink to 2031.' 94 points, James Halliday
