About this Wine
"It’s been a long time between Highbanks for me, so nice to get reacquainted, though our Mike has heaped glowing praise on the last couple of vintages. Rich and ripe, blackberry, currant and fig, aniseed and pencils. Medium to full bodied, ample flavour fills the mouth, dark chocolate and dark cherry, tobacco and earth, oak in a positive and supporting role, balanced acidity, grainy high cocoa chocolate tannin, and a long dry finish. Bold but very good." 94pts - Gary Walsh - WineFront
About the Winery
The early flag-bear for organic wine growing in Coonawarra. Owners Dennis and Bonnie Vice believe, as custodians of the land, that it is their responsibility to farm it carefully, harvesting the fruit gently and nurturing the wines, with as little intervention as possible through a very natural wine making process.
Highbank’s vines are grown without the use of chemical herbicides or insecticides or fertilisers, and have been farmed according to biodynamic principles for more than 25 years.
