Glaetzer Dixon Mon Pere Shiraz 2015

93 Points. Nick Glaetzer has a rare feel for wine, I would argue. Perhaps this doesn’t quite have the intensity of some past releases but it has all the style and charm we’ve come to expect. It’s inherently cool climate and frisky, with leaves, peppers, truffle and tomato bush notes all playing roles. The momentum comes via a soft, satiny glide of red/black cherry fruit, smattered with undergrowth and slicked with smoky oak. You have to enjoy cool climate shiraz, obviously, but in that context it’s an entirely successful wine. Rated : 93 Points Tasted : Jun17 Alcohol : 13.3%. Campbell Mattinson. The Winefront.
