About this Wine
The Embers Cabernet Sauvignon was made in a soft, fruit driven, unpretentious and easy drinking style. It has beautiful aromas of violets, juicy red and black fruits with chocolate and some cedar. This year’s wine has a deliciously juicy mid palate with flavours of plum, dark cherry and dried herbs. Unashamedly medium bodied with sweet juicy fruit and a fine tannin structure. A fantastic Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon for all occasions.
"(...) very fresh and vibrant (...)." "This is a very fresh, vibrant and bright cabernet that offers a mix of redcurrant and cassis aromas and flavors with quite fresh, lithe style on the palate." James Suckling.com, April '20
About the Winery
By winning Australia's most well-known and respected wine accolade, the Jimmy Watson Memorial Trophy, with their first ever red wine, Flametree Wines quickly captured the attention of wine media, trade and consumers. A five star rating in James Halliday’s definitive Australian Wine Companion since 2012 ranks Flametree Wines in the top 5% of all of Australia's wineries.
"Flametree, owned by the Towner family (John, Liz, Rob and Annie), has had extraordinary success since its first vintage in 2007. The usual practice of planting a vineyard and then finding someone to make the wine was turned on its head: a state-of-the-art winery was built, and grape purchase agreements signed with growers in the region. Show success was topped by the winning of the Jimmy Watson Trophy with its '07 Cabernet Merlot. If all this were not enough, Flametree has secured the services of winemaker Cliff Royle." 5 Star Winery - James Halliday
