Faiveley Mercurey La Framboisiere 2016

One of the most reliable wines in the Côte Chalonnaise, so good to see it performing well in a blind tasting.... Good focus, length and balance. What’s not to like? Tim Atkin MW

More Information

A vineyard name that recalls raspberries, and curiously, a wine that most often does. Importer: Negociants Juicy, earthy, all of the raspberries, aniseed, lick of cedar oak and spice. Medium-bodied, dense, but sappy and lively, a fair tang and well-etched acidity, ripe yet energetic, with a finish of solid length, and sour cherry/raspberry to close. Energy and charm.  Rating: 91 Points.  Gary Walsh.  The Wine Front.

Fragrant aromas of wild strawberries and raspberries with only a hint of wood, making this a very charming one. The combination of silky tannins and fresh acidity underline that beautifully. Full of character but relatively light in body. This is delicious now..  Rating 90 Points.  Jamesuckling.com

One of the most reliable wines in the Côte Chalonnaise, so good to see it performing well in a blind tasting. Appealing raspberry fruit, with quite a bit of oak influence, at this price level. Good focus, length and balance. What’s not to like?  Rating 90 Points.   Tim Atkin MW.  Decanter.
