"...I’d say Domenica make the best Nebbiolo in Australia." Gary Walsh
"Domenica Wines is the reincarnation of the previous Ergo Sum joint venture between Rick Kinzbrunner, Michel Chapoutier and Peter Graham. Domenica was established in 2012 when Peter Graham purchased the shares of Kinzbrunner and Chapoutier, and he is now the sole owner and winemaker of the business. He has had 15 years winemaking in Beechworth, and in particular worked both growing and making the wines from the (now) Domenica vineyard since it first produced fruit. Shiraz, roussanne and marsanne are considered by Peter Graham to have a natural affinity with the warm, dry summers, granitic soils, slopes and altitude provided by Beechworth. Beechworth's two major varieties are shiraz and chardonnay, and these are cornerstones for Domenica Wines." - James Halliday
"I might be going out on a limb here, but I’d say Domenica make the best Nebbiolo in Australia. It has the firm signature of the grape variety, not straying into ‘bold dry red’ like some. Beautifully made. Tannin, acidity, flavour all in balance, and no sign of noisome oak sullying this most noble of red grape varieties. It has rose and almond, red cherry and strawberry, a flicker of mint/menthol, a little spice and black tea. Medium-bodied, sure-footed gently rusty tannin, and a long nutty savoury finish. It’s outstanding. Classic style and so good to drink." Rating: 95. Gary Walsh. The Wine Front.
