More Information

“A fine, detailed and complete version of chardonnay that is unmistakably Margaret River but also shows the results from plenty of care in the winery. Bright pale straw in colour, its shows beautiful concentration and focus of citrus, floral and nectarine fruits intermingled with savoury and smoky natural ferment and crushed cashew scented oak. It’s the real deal. There is also a rich vein of genuine flavour on the palate, as all great chardonnay should, with some buttery nuances and all wound up tight by cleansing acidity that drives through to a long and bright finish. Complexity builds as the wine sits in the glass which bodes very well for the cellar and you just know this wine will get better and better and better….” – 96 Points Wine Pilot

“Bright, light yellow colour. Aromas of smoky sulfides, citrus fruits and parmesan cheese, a super-funky bouquet, the palate intense and powerful, the fruit concentrated and very persistent, balanced by vibrant acidity. An impressive wine with great character and drive.” 96 Points & 5 Stars Huon Hooke

"The complexity here is a real highlight, with aromas of grapefruit, hazelnut and flint, as well as lemon peel and peach. Attractive purity of fruit on the palate, too. Sleek and tart lemons and peaches sit in linear and elegant mode."  James Sucking

"Lime, pear, honey biscuits, vanilla and spice, a flicker of struck match. It’s powerful and slick, some custard powder and lime pie richness, something more nutty and savoury, tight and juicy acidity to balance with fine chalk dust feel, and a long gently buttery, yet fresh finish. Grand style of Margaret River Chardonnay on show here."  Rated: 95 Points. Campbell Mattinson. The Wine Front

"Whole bunch-pressed, fermented and matured in French oak (40% new) for 10 months. Cloudy juice ex whole bunch pre ferment, mlf, and the gingin clone all help create a wine of stellar complexity and length." Rating: 97 Points. James Halliday. The Weekend Australian
