Clyde Park Vineyard Locale Geelong Pinot Noir 2016

95 Points & Top 100 Wines of the Year 2017 - James Halliday
"Excellent buying and drinking" Campbell Mattinson

Contract-grown. Full, deep crimson hue; this is a powerhouse in its price class - in Burgundy it would be labelled Bourgogne. It can certainly be drunk now, but will equally certainly see its deep-seated cherry, spice and tannin flavour and structure come into full flower over 5 years. Drink By: 2029 Rating: 95 Points & Special Value Star.Top 100 Wines of the Year 2017. James Halliday

Clyde Park’s “entry level” pinot noir is in good form. Yes. Easy wine to recommend. Perfumed, bright, fruity-enough, characterful. Lively with cherry-plum and violets, a slip of smoky-cedasriness not hurting matters a jot. Some spice but not a great deal. Gets on with it in a pretty-but-satisfying fashion. Excellent buying and drinking. Rated : 92 Points. Campbell Mattinson. The Winefront.

Indeed this "entry level" pinot noir is in good form and our price of $19.95 certainly makes it an easy pinot to recommend.  It's got the James Halliday Top 100 Wines of 2017 in the bag, Campbell Mattinson gives it his tick of approval and we've come to the party with the price.
