Made entirely from our 1973 planted Old Paulownia Shiraz vineyard, fruit was picked and fermented with 20% whole bunches, followed by 15 months in 45% new and seasoned French oak. \u003cbr\u003e \u003cspan style=\"font-family: 'trebuchet ms', helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 13px;\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003e\"Comprising 37% whole bunches in the ferment and matured 14 months in 35% new French oak. A lot is packed into this wine, yet it takes everything in its stride and comes out as a more mid-weighted offering. Dark sweet fruits abound. So, too, spices, dark chocolate, coffee grounds and a sprinkle of crushed bay leaves. The tannins have some grit, yet are shapely and ripe.
