Lovely and light bodied with notes of spring flowers and raspberries. Racy and exciting acidity on the palate. Natalie MacLean
"This summer take a walk on the wild side and enjoy this award winning rose wine from the world renowned Domaine de la Grande Seouve in Provence. In recent years AIX rose (pronounced “ex”) has been established as one of the most definitive Provence rose wines.
The 2017 vintage is no exception, picked out in our blind tasting of 2017 rose wines, it simply wowed our tasting panel with it's blend of Grenache, Syrah and Cinsault varietals. Grenache offers, body and empowerment to the wine, and when enjoyed young, lovely elegant aromas of red summer berries. Cinsault, a varietal which originated in the Provence wine region, brings freshness and delicacy. Finally the Syrah brings a touch of colour. One of the hallmarks of Provence rose is it’s colour, today the paler the better, our customers look for great quality and taste with just a hint of blush pink hue."
“Pale salmon pink hue. Classic Provence noses with a floral notes, added peach and summer field berries with a seasoning of spice….Wow. Seriously impressive, concentrated palate with a core of white stone fruits and tropical fruits that gives the wine backbone. This is beautifully integrated with uplifting acidity and oyster shell minerality. Silky texture that flows across the palate. Serious complexity and power yet still graceful with a long distance finish, added spice and white peaches. Contender for best Provence Rose 2017. Bravo and roll on the summer.” JG (Tasted March 2018)https://www.bcfw.co.uk/cellar-talk/post/aix-rose-provence-2017-wine-blog-review
