The 2017 Riesling was carefully blended from three different blocks within the Avon Brae Vineyard resulting in a wine of elegance and complexity. It is pale straw in colour showing citrus blossom and sherbet on the nose. There is generosity of fruit on the palate revealing luscious lime juice and lemon with perfect acid balance providing a clean finish.

An outstanding Eden Valley Riesling, drinking beautifully now, but like its predecessors is built to last.

Where this wine comes from - Eden Valley

At an average altitude of 500 metres, think of Eden Valley as the high altitude cousin and neighbour of the Barossa Valley. The ‘high country’ drops the average temperature a couple of degrees, and with cool summer nights, the region is perfect for natural acid retention. No wonder Eden Valley Riesling performs so well and has built an international reputation for its vibrant citrus, mineral and floral aromatics in its youth, with the structure to cellar for years, particularly under screw cap. Eden Valley Shiraz performs well like Barossa Valley Shiraz, but there’s a touch more refinement here with violets, pepper and blueberry fruits. There’s elegance and finesse here, still with the fruit power and intensity you expect from the Barossa wine region.
