The Equal 2nd Highest Rated Pinot Gris in 2 Years at Winefront!
"It has excellent flavour and complexity, very much a serious gris style. A really good drink." Huon Hooke
Impressive pinot gris from the Mornington Peninsula. Stunning intensity. It’s dry, spice-ridden and structural but the intensity of flavour strikes your from the outset. This is some kind of pinot gris. Nashi pear, apple, cloves, dry spices, nuts – there’s much to experience here. This is gold medal standard, hands down. Rated : 94 Points. Alcohol : 13.5%. Price : $32. Drink : 2018 - 2021+ Campbell Mattinson. The Winefront.
Light yellow colour, with a faintly nutty aroma which hints at some barrel involvement. The palate is soft and round and smooth-textured, with a trace of richness from the oak. It's quite dry but has no hint of austerity. It has excellent flavour and complexity, very much a serious gris style. A really good drink.
