Roberto Sarotto Puro Chardonnay 2015

99 Points & Best White Wine in Italy - Luca Maroni

Roberto Sarotto Puro Chardonnay 2015 and it was awarded 99 Points and #1 White Wine in Italy by Luca Maroni in his 2018 Italian Wine Book.  Like we've previously said,  Luca Maroni is one of Italy's most renowned wine critics – Italy's James Halliday or Campbell Mattinson if you like – and for this edition of his Best Italian Wine Guide 2018, over 11,000 wines were tasted.

To prove this was no fluke, the last vintage of this wine was rated in the top 6 Italian Chardonnays by the popular Chardonnay of the World Awards 2017 and was judged #2 Best Italian Wine by Luca Maroni.

It terms of style, it's as old school as it gets.  It's a richly styled chardonnay, with loads of creaminess and oak, but it's very smooth and in balance, exactly the type of chardonnay drinkers are looking for and that's why it was judged Italian White wine of the Year.

Given the nature of this award and the price, we don't expect stocks to last long, so get in quick.
