Domane Wachau 'Federspiel Bruck' Riesling 2018

Very much a revitalised wine estate, Domäne Wachau draws on some of the very best vineyard sites in the Wachau. It produces wines that are powerfully regional and offer outstanding value as an introduction to the great wines of the region. The Domäne Wachau Terrassen and single-vineyard wines are sourced from the best grapes grown on the steep terraces of the Wachau. 

Bruck is probably one of the most exciting and unique single-vineyards of the Wachau. It is situated on the very edge of Austria’s winegrowing zone. Thanks to the particular microclimate, the grapes in the south-facing and steep-terraced Bruck vineyard ripen beautifully. Wines from Bruck are characterised by distinctively cool scents and particular elegance.

The wine is lively yellow with green reflections. The distinctive “Bruck-style” is smoky with a precise structure and complex rich stone fruit and exotic aromas.

Lean and strong on the palate, with intense and spicy fruit intermixed with crystalline flinty notes, this is a fascinatingly coolish, clear and spicy Riesling of great finesse and elegance.
